Dining at Costa Solana — La Cocina and the Farm Next Door
La Cocina is the farm-to-table restaurant at Costa Solana Resort, and the only one of its kind in Pagbilao. The kitchen is supplied by a farm next door under the same ownership, and by local fishermen who bring in the day's catch. Cheese, ice cream, and bread are made in-house. You can eat indoors in the 100-seat dining room or outside on the 30-seat al fresco deck, with the bay in front of you. La Cocina is open 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, every day.
What Is La Cocina?
La Cocina is a Spanish-Filipino farm-to-table restaurant. The menu changes with what the farm and the sea provide, so what reaches your table started close by. Great meals begin long before they reach the table. They start in the soil we tend and the water off our beach. Seating is 100 indoors and 30 al fresco. Walk-ins are welcome, though a reservation is the safer bet on weekends.
The Farm Next Door —
Sea-to-Table, Farm-to-Table
A working farm under the same ownership sits next to the resort. It supplies the kitchen directly, which is why the produce and meat taste like they were picked and prepared the same day. Often they were.
What the Farm Supplies
The farm raises beef, pork, lamb, goat, rabbit, native chicken, quail, and duck, alongside the vegetables that fill out the menu. Local fishermen deliver the fresh catch each day.
What We Make In-House
We make our own cheese, ice cream, and bread on-site. Small batches, made fresh, served the same week.
